DO use the Account Nickname feature. Select a nickname that is personal to you, and avoid names that are easy to guess or easy to identify your account. When setting up a new e-Alert, select your own personal e-Alert Account Nickname.

DO keep your e-Banking user name and password secret and secure at all times.

DO keep any electronic devices (including your PC and mobile phone) used to access e-Alert secure and safe from unauthorised access.

DO always check your account balances and transactions through your normal modes of banking with us, for example via e-Banking or branch. The information in your e-Alert is correct only at the date and time stated in the message.

DO take all precautions to prevent anyone else from accessing your confidential information.

DO keep us updated if there are any changes to your personal information or nominated accounts registered for e-Alert.

DO report any suspicious or corrupted messages to the Bank as soon as you suspect something is irregular. Hang Seng Bank will never ask you to provide personal or account information in an e-Alert message.
